COMING HOME SHOULD BE BEAUTIFULGBTQ
The holidays are a time for reuniting with people you love. But for some, it’s not that simple. 44% of LGBTQ+ people feel they can’t come home as their true selves, fearing their identity, including hair, makeup and wardrobe, won’t be accepted. Pantene and Grey, in partnership with GLAAD, advocates that whenever, wherever, however you come home, coming home should be #BEAUTIFULGBTQ.
Going Home for the Holidays is a beautiful video series that interweaves the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles' performance of "I'll Be Home For Christmas" with footage of chorus members Steven, Miliana and Crystal; to raise awareness of the tensions and challenges LGBTQ+ community members can face. With a mixture of nervousness and optimism, they travel back to their respective family homes.
